Derren leads HTJ's international tax practice, advising US persons and cross-border families on the tax consequences of living, investing and building companies across jurisdictions. He completed the Comparative Tax Program at Harvard and is an IRS Enrolled Agent, admitted to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service.
The practice was started in 1980 by his father, Hayden T Joseph, and Derren runs it today under the HTJ and Advanced American Tax names, with representative offices across Singapore, Europe, the UAE and the US, and international tax attorneys, Enrolled Agents and qualified accountants working alongside the in-house team.
